To close out Open Spaces, HMC presents From the Heart, a program that includes audience favorites from years past, and features Kansas City musician and songwriter Mark Hayes, one of the chorus’ most beloved collaborators.

From its formation in 1986 with 30 singers, and its importance as a safe community oasis at the height of the AIDS crisis, the Heartland Men's Chorus has grown to 120 singers, and today plays a vital part in Kansas City's arts and cultural scene.
