Enjoy America’s unique musical tradition in this special, matinee performance featuring American-born composers from John Philip Sousa to John Williams! The Lee’s Summit Symphony opens its 20th Anniversary Season with a program of familiar and new sounds of some of America’s most renowned composers.

The program includes a medley from Aaron Copland’s ballet, Rodeo, a look back at unknown gems from the past century with George Chadwick’s Symphonic Sketches, and ends with a salute to John Williams featuring a specially arranged suite for orchestra of Star Wars.

Tickets may be purchased online at lssymphony.org/tickets or at either Lee’s Summit Hy-Vee and at Price Chopper at Raintree Lake and Lakewood. This concert is suitable for all ages and youth Pre-K through sixth grade get in free with an adult paid admission. Student tickets (7th grade through college) are available at the door or online.
