Cesar Velez is a Mexican multidisciplinary artist based in Kansas City, MO. His art is an emotional exploration of the personal experiences and cultural landscapes that have shaped the world around him. Velez’s paintings are characterized by their expressive use of color, symbolic imagery, and emotional depth. As a first-generation undocumented immigrant raised in the South and Midwest United States, themes of identity, displacement, and belonging are explored in his work as a means of documenting the unique truths of his journey.
