P L Y; An Installation by Angie Seykora will remain installed in M-AAA’s Convening Space for First Friday November 1, 6:00–8:00 p.m. Join us and explore Nebraska artist Seykora’s formal, sculptural works that investigate and celebrate the inherent characteristics of manufactured materials through a physically engaged process of making.

P L Y presents works installed in direct communication with the space. The artist wants the audience to be challenged to look beyond the surface of what may appear to be visually familiar and to reconcile their initial assumptions with the prescribed value and understanding of materials, process and the handmade form. The works are objects of visual stimulation celebrating discovery through the act of making and potential within the seemingly accepted, yet often unknown.
