Premiere of Serenata #2 by composer Dana Mengel

This is an online premiere of Serenata # 2 by composer Dana Mengel which includes five different movements. The selections are: – Alpha and Omega – All We Like Sheep – Beatitudes – Father Forgive Them – Celestial Chimes. Mengel says he composed the pieces in 2017 “in response to my spiritual journey.” The pieces are performed by the Centropolis String Ensemble which includes Mengel and Dennis Bogart, violins; Monty Carter, viola; Trilla Ray-Carter, cello; Matthew McGrory, bass; and Mark Lowry, percussion. This performance was conducted by Joyce Higginbotham.   The music was recorded at First Christian Church of Independence, Mo.
