Join us for Intro to Patternmaking: Developing a Sloper, a two-part class taking place on May 21 and May 28, 2022. We hope you’re able to attend! INTRO TO PATTERNMAKING: DEVELOPING A SLOPER Two-part class Saturday, May 21 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, May 28 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Skill level: Intermediate Prerequisite skills: Mastery of home sewing machine, confidence in garment construction, understanding of pattern identification and symbols, comfort following a commercial pattern, strong understanding of seam allowances and measurements, ability to cut accurately Have you mastered the basics of sewing? Ready to start making your own patterns? This class will introduce you to patternmaking by teaching how to develop a sloper. Students will start with a skirt sloper in the first class and progress to developing a bodice sloper in the second class. Only 5 spots available! Students will use ASTM chart and all work on the same size (size 10). A shopping list will be provided for students to purchase supplies ahead of class.
