Our inaugural Summer Arts Camp program will offer 4 separate weeks of camp centralizing around a different theme. Full or partial scholarships for a single week of class are available thanks to the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. We will be learning about different kinds of instruments and creating our own, from clay maracas to found object string instruments, we will Band together in harmony. Week 3: S.T.E.A.M. (July 19th- 23th) Science & Technology, interpreted through Engineering and the Arts based in Mathematics. We will use creative problem solving and art to make kinetic sculptures, while learning to make primitive robots and more! Week 4: All about Animals (July 26th- 30th) We will be exploring the animal kingdom through drawing, painting and sculpting. We get to talk with experts about wildlife and learn everything we can about our favorite animals.
