Isaac Meek

My name is Isaac Meek, I am an artist from Sugar Creek, Missouri. I have been pursuing painting in a studious manner since 2011 or so. A majority of my work currently explores spatial relationships using simple creative elements: line shape and color. In a manner of words “abstractly”.

I aim to present the process and color relationships within my paintings using acrylic, charcoal, aerosol paint, ink; and more recently marker and makeshift stencils. I construct many of my canvases for my acrylic paintings and wood panels as well. Wood panels have served as a great substrate for about any medium I’m working with.

Art for me is an exploration in the intangible, the creating of fresh space to fill with new ideas and emotions. A matter of adding and subtracting in a complex balancing act. I am very interested in exploring painting in its manys forms. I have long been incorperating my painting into a live show at many of my events and showings. Allowing viewers a glimpse of the energy and form behind the paintings they see. Sharing my process with the audience is very fulfilling. The best forms of therapy I have found are creative. Art helps me connect with things spiritual. Art allows me to present the most beautiful parts of myself.

Planned disorganization and somber poetic chaos. The key is knowing what to keep and what to discard. My creative pursuits are to enrich others by presenting the gifts I have been given.
