My sculptural work is founded in the desire to research and develop proficiency in the skilled trades. I derive satisfaction in creative problem solving, whether it be in developing a public art concept, designing the fabrication plan, or executing the hands-on skilled work that brings a piece to reality. I am a retired career Naval Officer and helicopter pilot with a background in mechanical engineering and metal fabrication small business ownership. In July of 2022, my wife and I relocated to her hometown of Lawrence, KS in order to take care of her parents. This gave me the opportunity to focus on sculptural work here in Kansas. My studio is located in Lawrence’s Warehouse Arts District in a 2400 sqft space dedicated to large scale sculptural fabrication in stone and metal.
